A sentimental project, planted on 1 hectare given by my father, to "experiment". This is a small personal project of just 2,000 bottles. The wine that I idealized to make to show a different "path" to Ribatejo red wines: complex, fresh, smooth and elegant. Started in 2001 with the planting of the vineyard in Charneca de Almeirim, on very poor soils with rolled pebbles. With grape varieties inspired by the Cotes de Rhône: Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre and Viognier, little technology and "premium" French oak barrels. In the whole process of selecting the soil, preparing the land, planting the vineyard, my father, a winemaker throughout his life, played a fundamental role. Unfortunately he would not live long enough to see this dream come true. That is why this wine took on a different meaning. And its name: Tributo (Tribute).
