Lillet L'Apéritif Blanc
Description
Lillet is a French fortified aperitif crafted from a harmonious blend of carefully selected wines (85%) and fruit liqueurs (15%). Its unique recipe incorporates citrus fruits sourced from around the world, including sweet oranges from southern Spain, bitter oranges from Haiti, green oranges from Morocco and Tunisia, as well as quinine bark from Peru. These ingredients undergo a lengthy maceration process in fruit alcohol, followed by traditional ageing in oak casks.
On the nose, it displays elegant aromas of candied orange, honey and subtle hints of spice. The palate is rich, smooth and well-balanced, offering a rounded texture and a long, refined finish.
An outstanding aperitif, Lillet is best served well chilled over ice and can be garnished with a slice of orange, lemon or lime to enhance its freshness and aromatic complexity.
