The Homestead Vale Barqueiros with about 800 ha, has been founded in 1853 and located a few kilometers from Alter do Chão in the beautiful North Alentejo region, is an extensive estate owned by the Comendador Vasco Faria family divides its main activity between production grapes and olives in irrigation system. Currently it has 122 hectares of vineyards and 368 ha of olives where only the best fruits are selected to give rise to its own wine and olive oil marketed under the brand "Vale Barqueiros".
