Château Haut-Brion, formally known as Château Bahans Haut-Brion, is located in the famous Pessac-Léognan appellation of the Bordeaux region and its history dates back to 1525, when Jean de Pontac marries Jeanne de Bellon, daughter of the president of Libourne and seigneur of Haut-Brion, who bought the estate as his daughter's dowry.
Currently just over 48 hectares, the wines of Château Haut-Brion are known and admired internationally.
