Description

Quinta das Bágeiras Garrafeira is produced from the Baga grape variety and the grapes come from very old vines, over 90 years old. It is only produced in exceptional years and reveals the authentic expression of the Bairrada region. It is a red wine with a solid structure, powerful tannins, great freshness and complexity, revealing the ideal characteristics for bottle ageing.

The name Mário Sérgio Alves Nuno may not say much to the more distracted, but he is no less than the great mentor behind the great wines of Quinta das Bágeiras. The history of Quinta das Bágeiras can already be summed up by the work of 3 generations, however, it was only in 1989, and under the wing of Mário Sérgio, that the Quinta das Bágeiras wines began to be bottled and sold, quickly becoming a reference in Bairrada wines and Portugal.

Although made according to the procedures of previous generations, the wines of Quinta das Bágeiras are not wines of fashions, but are always in fashion, revealing with each harvest the character of the region and of the people who produce them.
