1995 Quinta Vale de Fornos red
Description
Quinta Vale de Fornos, one of the oldest and most important vineyards in the Tejo wine region, is today the result of the history that has passed through here. Christopher Columbus passed through these lands and Napoleon's troops stayed there. The 18th-century manor house, preserved in its original style and colour, is an example of strong respect for tradition and heritage. This property was given by D. Antónia Ferreira (Ferreirinha) as a wedding present for her daughter's marriage to the 3rd Count of Azambuja and was acquired in 1972 by the current owners, the Duarte Monteiro family.
