Bacalhôa Vinhos de Portugal, founded in 1922 under the name João Pires & filhos, has come a long way, establishing itself as one of the most innovative wine producers in Portugal. The company's activity started by producing wines with grapes from the Palmela region. During the 80's, Bacalhôa Vinhos de Portugal started its expansion, acquiring properties throughout the national territory, creating new paradigms of quality wine production. It is in Quinta do Carmo that the vinification center of all its Alentejo wines is located. Equipped with modern technology, this winery has the capacity to produce 3 million liters.
