SIVIPA - Sociedade Vinícola de Palmela, SA - was created in 1964 by a group of winemakers who joined together to form this partnership with the purpose to bottle the wines of their production and put them on the market. The aim would be to achieve an added value through the bottled wine market, because this time it was intended to end the sale of wine in bulk and wine in barrel. However, in the 90s joined the company's capital one of the families with the greatest traditions in the production of wines of Palmela region, Cardoso family, which through its 400 hectares of vineyards and production of around 2 million liters annually assured greater consistency in the quality of wines. At this point they began to bet on certified wines and higher quality. Nowadays Sivipa is a company with great reputation in the production of wines and muscat.
