Description

Quinta do Côa is one of the properties owned by the Roboredo Madeira family and is located in Douro Superior, between the village of Almendra and the right bank of the River Côa. The nearly 80 hectares of the Quinta are of schistose origin, exposed to the east and south, with an altitude varying between 130 and 300 meters, cultivated in organic production mode, strictly from varieties indigenous to the region, from vineyards, olive groves, and almond trees.

Inside a micro-climate of high temperatures and low rainfall, the wines from Quinta do Côa, stand out for their aromatic purity.

In one of the most remote areas of the Iberian Peninsula, in the border area between Douro Superior and Beira Alta, it was in the family that Rui Roboredo Madeira's passion for the aromas and smells of the land that mould his character was born. After years of experience and living in other parts of the world, Rui brings back to his origins what he has learned, starting his wine production project, always with maximum respect for nature.
