A century ago, the Mirandese Plateau became a centre of winemaking excellence. Since 1959, the Ribadouro Agricultural Cooperative has stood out on this journey. Combining tradition and innovation, its exceptional wines capture the distinctive flavour of the region, the result of improvements in cultivation and production methods.
At Garrafeira Nacional we are obliged to store all the wines at right temperature and proper humidity but we always choose to keep the visual aspect inherent to age them. Generally we select brands / regions that usually shows good results in wine tasting. Wine is a living organism that as others are exposed to weather and even in a bottle the aromas are subject to different developments. Our recommendation goes to open the bottle and leave in advance, that operation will help to release the natural aromas of the wine after so many years closed. Avoid violent decanting it will be very aggressive for an old wine. Good tasting.
