2004 Tullibardine The Murray Cask Strength The Marquess Collection
Description
The history of Tullibardine as the place of preparation and distillation are one of the oldest in Scotland, dating from the fifteenth century. Its history begins in 1488, when a young king, James IV of Scotland, stopped before his coronation to buy beer in the local brewery. This brewery was known to produce fine beer as a result of using a local water source. It was in 1947 that William Delmé-Evans began the conversion of this brewery to the Tullibardine Distillery. After testing the water from the nearby springs, Delmé-Evans knew he had found the perfect spot to distill his whisky.
