Description
The Rieussec 2007 is a blend composed of 87% Sémillon, 4.5% Muscadelle and 8.5% Sauvignon Blanc. It presents itself with notes of ginger and honey. On the palate, it is very pure and balanced, with wonderful acidity.
The 93 hectare vineyard of Château Rieussec is situated at the junction of Fargues and Sauternes, and is adjacent to Château d'Yquemau d'Yquemec. It is this location that enables the production of fine and elegant Sauternes wine, elevating Rieussec to the rank of the most important Sauternes and Barsac estates.
The estate was acquired in 1984 by Domaines Barons de Rothschild.
