Description

Based on an idea from Rolf Niepoort, Dirk his son first contacted Álvaro Castro in 2000 to create Dado. The idea was to create the ideal wine, to associate the elegance and longevity of the Dão with the concentration and structure of the Douro.

Laden ruby colour, complex aroma with floral and red fruit notes typical of Touriga Nacional, spicy and mineral. In the mouth it is enveloping with lively acidity, present but soft tannins, very fine fruit, and an impressive structure, it finishes long and persistent. A wine of great longevity.
