Description

Ausone, named after the famous Roman poet, shares with Cheval Blanc the distinction of being the best of Saint-Émilion, thanks to its exceptional vineyard that produces each year one of Bordeaux's mythical wines.

Château Ausone is a wine of wonderful balance that defies the passage of time while remaining indifferent to it. Great vintages can expect the life span of half a century. The wine is a combination of delicacy and admirable fullness, with elegant fruit and smooth fleshy texture, but never too much.
