Description

La Rioja Alta 890 Gran Reserva red is an iconic Rioja wine, crafted from a careful selection of Tempranillo, Mazuelo and Graciano sourced from estate vineyards. It represents the classic expression of great Gran Reserva wines, built for long ageing.

It shows an intense garnet colour with brick-red hues. The nose reveals remarkable complexity, with notes of ripe and dried fruit, such as black plum, alongside cedar, tea leaves, sweet spices, dark chocolate and vanilla, reflecting extended ageing in oak and bottle.

On the palate, it combines elegance and structure, with refined tannins and balanced freshness. The finish is broad and persistent, with balsamic and spicy nuances. A wine at an excellent stage of development, with great ageing potential.
