Sweden’s Smögen distillery resides on a farm near Hunnebostrand, and was named after the small island of Smögen which is also nearby. It was founded back in 2009, and has swiftly become a favourite among world whisky enthusiasts for their willingness to try out new things with their whisky right out of the gate. This includes their Sherry Project releases, the Smögen Triple and the charmingly titled Wee Swede.
