2013 Herdade do Rocim Alicante Bouschet red
Description
This Herdade do Rocim, produced exclusively from the Alicante Bouschet grape variety, has a deep ruby colour. It is a red wine with good freshness and acidity, with prominent notes of menthol, balsamic and spices, typical of the grape variety and ageing in French oak. The firm and structured tannins give it great potential for ageing in the bottle.
Between Vidigueira and Cuba, in Baixo Alentejo, Herdade do Rocim has around 70 hectares of vines, 53 of which are red varieties and the remaining 17 are white varieties. Herdade do Rocim is characterised by its clayey, sandy soils and its criteria are aimed at the production of high-quality grapes.
The winery, a structural element of the project, combines wine production with the aesthetic quality of its architecture, acting as a marketing and promotional element, qualifying the region.
