2013 Quinta do Mouro Erro 3 red
Description
This is a wine born from mistakes, and the least one can say is that some mistakes come for good. It is a different wine, full of character and with a story to tell. The work of a man of wine who hates standards abhors "political correctness", maintains his polemic with undeniable pleasure, and refuses to see wine as a mere product designed to please the market.
Located in the center of the city of Estremoz, the Quinta stands out for its beauty and its history, with a palatial building of 18th century architecture, beautiful gardens, groves, bougainvillea, tanks and other works of art from the 18th century, and currently, also for its excellent wines.
The Quinta was for many years in the possession of the Zagalo family, who used it as a holiday home, but unfortunately in 1974, with the revolution of the 25th of April, the house and farm were invaded and abandoned.
In 1979 the property was bought by Miguel Louro, who is still the owner today, starting wine production in the 1980s.
