Description

Quinta do Perdigão is one of the most awarded of Dão, nationally and internationally, since 1999. It is located at an altitude of 365 meters, 9 km from Viseu. Lands of Infante D. Henrique, "The Navigator", first Duke of Viseu, in the first hill of the Dão River, whose bed is at 200 meters. It has a vineyard area of only 7 hectares in certified organic production. Despite having a field of high density, with about 5.000 vines per hectare produces only small amounts of high quality wine grapes Touriga-Nacional red, Alfrocheiro-Black, Tinta-Roriz / Aragonese (Tempranillo) and Jaen (Tinta Mencia) and white grape Encruzado.
