Description

This project was born in "Conversations around Wine" held at the College of Agronomy of the Region South of the Order of Engineers, who encouraged the producer and the family to recover the vineyard, once exploited by various religious orders such as the Order of the Temple which produced wine since the Foundation of Portugal, thus preserving a small part of the history and culture of Portugal. The Jerome family and the wine producer, Engineer Pedro Jeronimo, accompanied by Professor Virgílio Loureiro and Professor José Sobral, are developing the restoration project of the "Ordem da Vinha" which is located in the village of Valhelhas in the Natural Park of Serra da Estrela, a hidden valley on the left bank of the River Zêzere.
