Description

The Supertuscan of Montalcino. The legacy of G.Tachis for Argiano. Since 1995 it represents power and boldness, pride and longevity. Made with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Sangiovese from vineyards with 60 to 12 years old, in slightly stony alluvial soils with little quantity of clay and silt at an altitude from 280 to 310 meter. About 18 months in French barriques produced by coopers, specifically selected for this wine. 60% new and 40% second hand barrels. Great impact on the nose, black berry fruit, spices, well integrated wood, chocolate and coffee. Soft and round palate with an excellent acid boost. Firm but soft tannins. Powerful and explosive while maintaining a surprising freshness.
