2015 Blog by Tiago Cabaço red 5L
Description
Blog by Tiago Cabaço is a terroir-driven red wine made from the finest vineyard plots, where yields are exceptionally low.
Deep ruby in colour, it reveals an enticing aromatic profile of red cherries, redcurrants and plums, complemented by delicate floral notes and pronounced minerality. Intense and characterful yet smooth, elegant and fresh, it offers an enveloping texture and an exceptionally long finish. Aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, half new and half second-use, it gains further depth and complexity.
Tiago Cabaço has already stopped being an emerging talent in the Alentejo to assert himself, today, as one of the most solid and striking names in the new generation of Alentejo producers.
Born and raised in Estremoz, in the heart of the winegrowing Alentejo, he was used to living and working in the countryside, in his parents' vineyards, from an early age, learning from his elders the great and small secrets of the vineyard. Today Tiago Cabaço is regarded as one of the most reliable and promising producers in the Alentejo, with a range of seductive and serious wines, modern in style and form, but deeply Alentejo in character.
