Description

Complexity, very concentrated aroma, with black forest fruits, liquorice notes, spices, violets, bergamot, rock-rose... in balance with very elegant French barrel notes. Long and involving, it is felt the fruit at the end of the mouth, firm tannins very mature and soft, fresh and very elegant, letting foresee excellent ageing in bottle. Enjoy it with meat and game dishes, matured cheeses, or just with a cigar.

Rui Roboredo Madeira Douro wines are produced at the winery located in São João da Pesqueira, where it all began in 1999. The first wine launched was with the brand Castello D'Alba, which is still marketed today.

In one of the most remote areas of the Iberian Peninsula, in the border area between Douro Superior and Beira Alta, it was in the family that Rui Roboredo Madeira's passion for the aromas and smells of the land that mould his character was born. After years of experience and living in other parts of the world, Rui brings back to his origins what he has learned, starting his wine production project, always with maximum respect for nature.
