2015 Château Rieussec Sauternes white 37.5cl
Description
A blend of 86% Sémillon and 14% Sauvignon Blanc, the 2015 Rieussec reveals a bright, pale straw gold colour. It offers wonderful purity and depth, featuring notes of lemon marmalade, orange blossom, beeswax, and acacia honey with hints of peach jam. Very elegant and fine in the mouth with earthy and citrus layers, finishing long and spicy.
The 93 hectare vineyard of Château Rieussec is situated at the junction of Fargues and Sauternes, and is adjacent to Château d'Yquemau d'Yquemec. It is this location that enables the production of fine and elegant Sauternes wine, elevating Rieussec to the rank of the most important Sauternes and Barsac estates.
The estate was acquired in 1984 by Domaines Barons de Rothschild.
