2015 Monte da Penha Terroir Reserva red
Description
Monte da Penha Terroir Reserva red comes from old vines planted in 1987 in the Serra de São Mamede, expressing the essence of Portalegre’s terroir. Made from Trincadeira, Aragonês, Alicante Bouschet and a small percentage of Moreto, it combines family tradition with a contemporary interpretation of the region.
Sourced from vineyards between 400 and 600 metres altitude, on granitic, clay-limestone and schist soils, it shows freshness, complexity and balance. Fermented in stainless steel and partially aged in French oak, it gains structure and depth. An elegant wine with excellent ageing potential.
Monte da Penha is a high‑altitude wine producer in the Serra de Portalegre, where century‑old vineyards and family tradition give rise to authentic wines full of identity. Here, time, granite, schist and a rigorous climate shape fresh, structured wines deeply connected to their origin. Each bottle reflects respect for the land, the legacy of generations, and the boldness to innovate without losing its roots. More than wines, Monte da Penha creates memories meant to be shared and cherished.
