The Quinta de la Rosa is a pioneer in the Douro region, famous for its high-end wines and ports, having its history started in 1815. Despite having gone through some changes, it never ceased to belong to the Family that founded it, and in 1988 it starts to enter the market again with the production of the house's first Port Wine.
Today, Quinta de la Rosa is represented by the wines Quinta de la Rosa and Quinta das Bandeiras, renowned not only for the quality of their ranges but also for their hotel and restaurant facilities, allowing a new look at the Douro region. Quinta de la Rosa has around 62 hectares, which line up on the north bank of the river and produce enriched wines with remarkable levels of acidity, minerality, and freshness. Quinta das Bandeiras, with its Passsagem wines, is a 100-hectare property acquired in 2005, of which 38 hectares are planted with vines.
