Cistus Reserva is obtained from the traditional Douro grape varieties Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca, and Touriga Nacional, and presents a good volume in the mouth, firm and enveloping tannins, showing the warm spices, coming from the aging process in French and American oak barrels.
The Quinta do Vale da Perdiz is a family company that bets on the binomial quality/price to reach the consumers, quality wines at attractive prices. The founding partner, António Augusto Fernandes, has dedicated his life to the vineyard and wines, having started production in 1989.
All the wines from Quinta do Vale da Perdiz are marketed under the "Cistus" brand and are produced from grapes coming from the Upper Douro, most of which come from the vineyards of the Fernandes family, owners of the company, with a total area of approximately 50 hectares spread over six farms.
