Description

The Quinta da Plansel is located about 100 kilometres from Lisbon, in the southeast part of the town of Montemor-o-Novo. With around 70 hectares of vineyard, the predominant grape varieties are Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Barroca, Verdelho and Gouveio, which are responsible for the fruity, harmonious and distinctive wines of the Plansel winery.

The winery was created in 1997, when Dorina Lindemann, daughter of Jorge Böhm, oenologist with a degree from the University of Geisenheim, came from Germany to Portugal with her husband Thomas Lindemann and, taking advantage of the existing vineyards linked to her father's technical improvement programme, dedicated herself to wine production. Today, Dorina and her two daughters, Júlia and Luísa Lindemann, are passionate about wine from indigenous Portuguese grape varieties and the Alentejo.
