2017 Buçaco Reservado red
Description
At the beginning of the 19th century, one of the most interesting pages of Portuguese wine was born, with the launch of a wine that would become an icon, the target of covetousness, but which was always kept out of the limelight of its own accord.
The creator, Alexandre de Almeida, imported the concept of combining luxury hotels with a cellar and a wine of his own, thus creating the very rare and historical Buçaco wines, produced in the beautiful Bussaco Palace, in the mountains north of Coimbra.
These are wines that have not adopted modernism and that have enormous aging potential, being able to remain in the bottle for decades.
