The Aglianico grape variety was, as the story goes, a favourite of Alexander the Great, taking it with him on his travels through Magna Grecia. This grape variety represents the Greek soul, the legacy and the conquering spirit. It was this same spirit that inspired the production of this wine, which has taken a relatively long time to obtain production since the first vines were planted, resulting in a wine with a Greek soul and an Argentinean heart. After 18 months in French oak barrels, this is a wine marked by acidity, which makes it unique and distinct.
Krontiras Winery is located on the slopes of Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza. It was here that Constantino and Silvina Krontiras decided to combine their passion for wine and start producing organic and biodynamic wines. Based on this concept, they created an excellent environment for winemaking and ageing, using architecture inspired by biodynamic principles, based on the ancient "sacred geometry". There are around 22 hectares that produce excellent Argentine wines.
