Produced from the Jaen grape variety, whose vines are planted at 580 metres altitude, this wine presents itself as distinctive and sophisticated, where the cherry, pepper and vegetal aromas stand out. In the mouth it is firm and prolonged.
The Quinta Madre de Água is located at the foot of Serra da Estrela and was inaugurated in 2007, with the couple Luís and Lurdes returning to their origins, through a sustained project that respects nature, man, arts and traditions.
With about 16 hectares of vineyard, whose average age is around 40 years old, the Quinta produces a varied range of blend and single-varietal wines. In addition to the vineyard, there is also olive-growing, fruit-growing, cheese-production and a boutique hotel with restaurant, covering a total area of 60 hectares.
