Description

Red wine produced from the Cabernet Sauvignon grape variety, whose grapes were carefully selected. After ageing for 17 months in fine-grain French oak barrels, it has an intense purple colour with some signs of ageing and pronounced notes of plum, cedar wood, fennel, and liquorice. In the mouth it is full-bodied, but with rich fruit and a supple tannic structure.

Meerlust Estate is located in Stellenbosch, a premium quality wine-growing area of the Coastal region of the Western Cape of South Africa. A family-owned business that began its journey into the wine world in 1756, it is currently led by the 8th generation of the Myburgh family, and is also renowned, worldwide, for the quality of its wines.
