2017 Quinta Nogueira Reserva red

Quinta Nogueira Reserva red is a wine with the Denomination of Origin Óbidos, and special emphasis is placed on environmental and health issues in its production and the grapes from which it is made come from vineyards certified under the Integrated Production rules. It has a ruby colour, elegant aromas of forest fruits combined with wood notes from its period in barrels. In the mouth, it reveals a remarkable freshness, with fine and unctuous tannins, with a long and persistent finish.

The Quinta do Porto Nogueira was founded in 1738, in the first half of the 18th century, and was always owned by the same family until the second half of the 20th century. The current owners acquired it at the beginning of this 21st century. The estate's 20 hectares of vineyards are planted in clay soils, marked by the influence of the natural microclimate of the foothills of the Serra de Todo-o-Mundo and by the proximity to the Atlantic Ocean, about 20 km away. A vineyard without irrigation that gathers unique characteristics, an unequalled freshness, and the bearer of a natural salinity. Thus, the wines are marked by their singularity.
