2018 Château Brane-Cantenac Margaux red
Description
The legend of Brane-Cantenac, born 300 years ago, evokes a flourishing relationship between man and land, growing over the years. Called Hostein in the 18th century, this large vineyard was later bought by the Gorce family, and was producing one of the Médoc's best-known wines long before the 1855 classification. As for our second wine, Baron de Brane, it is named after the famous Baron Jacques-Maxime de Brane, the Napoleon of the vineyards, who owned the land in the 19th century.
Since 1992, Henri Lurton has continued the journey started by his father and ancestors. Although being a follower of innovation and new technologies, Henri never loses sight of the traditional values that remain an intrinsic part of Brane's identity.
The 2018 Brane-Cantenac, presents itself medium to deep garnet, offering vibrant notes of kirsch, black raspberries and warm cassis, combined with aromas of roses, forest and cinnamon stick. In the mouth, it proves elegant and fresh, with soft tannins and a long finish.
