2018 Quinta da Ponte Pedrinha Vinhas Velhas red
Description
Quinta da Ponte Pedrinha Vinhas Velhas Tinto comes from a vineyard of around 45 years old, marked by the great diversity of grape varieties typical of vineyards of this age. Vibrant in colour, it reveals aromas of wild berries, spices, balsamic notes and mineral nuances. The palate offers great complexity and excellent structure, with pronounced yet supple tannins in perfect harmony with the fruit, balancing character and elegance. Made entirely in stainless steel, it preserves the purest expression of the vineyard and finishes long and persistent, with excellent potential for bottle ageing.
With a privileged location in the Dão Region, Quinta da Ponte Pedrinha is owned by Maria de Lourdes Osório, being in the family's possession for over three centuries and also boasting a long winegrowing tradition. The 53 hectares of vineyard also give life to these wines, offering details of rare beauty to the surrounding landscape. Quinta da Ponte Pedrinha is located in the sub-region of Serra da Estrela at an altitude of 400 metres with its vineyards developed on granite soils.
