2018 Tormaresca Nèprica Primitivo red

The Nèprica Primitivo is a red wine from Puglia that showcases the richness and generosity of the Primitivo grape variety. Vinified in stainless steel tanks and carefully matured in both steel and bottle, it offers intense aromas of Morello cherry, plum and candied orange, complemented by delicate hints of rosehip and liquorice. The palate is structured, well-balanced and savoury, leading to a persistent finish with elegant fruity character.

Passion and confidence in the enormous potential for quality that Puglia, and especially the areas of Castel del Monte and Salento were able to express, inspired the producers to invest in this region.

The principles that link people to the land and winemaking is the idea that, from the beginning, has characterised the production philosophy of Tormaresca, consisting, equally, in the production of great wines from indigenous grape varieties.

Masseria Maìme is located in one of the most beautiful areas of Upper Salento. The estate extends along the Adriatic coast and covers an area of about 500 hectares, 350 of which are planted with vines and 85 with olive groves.
