Description

Calda Bordaleza is a dark ruby-coloured wine with a dense aroma, made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot grapes. On the palate it has good structure and a silky texture. It's lively, complex and concentrated, but fresh, with notes of red fruit, aniseed, balsamic, slight chocolate and soft, elegant toast, with a long finish.

A family that for several generations has been dedicated to growing vines and producing wine. They currently work 170 hectares on two properties in central Portugal: Quinta de São Mateus and Quinta de Vale de Azar.

Wines are produced based on an oenological concept of maximum respect for the grapes, with almost exclusive use of gravity throughout the winemaking cycle and with the exclusion of any oenological products.
