Description

The prestigious Quinta de Roriz has recently undergone a remarkable qualitative evolution, regaining a prominent place among the best producers in the Douro and Portugal.

Currently under the management of the Symington family, this historic and stunning property is located on the left bank of the Douro, in a natural amphitheatre, with vineyards spread between 125 and 500 metres above sea level. With more than 200 hectares of vineyards, the soils at Quinta de Roriz are a mixture of tin and predominantly schist, from the old regional mines, giving the wines a distinctive mineral character.

The proximity of the Douro River provides cool nights during the ripening of the grapes, resulting in intensely aromatic and easily identifiable wines.
