Description

Produced only in years of exceptional quality, this red wine brings together 20 native Douro grape varieties, such as Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional and Tinto Cão grape varieties. It has a deep ruby colour, with aromas of forest fruits, eucalyptus leaf, pine and dried plums. In the mouth, it reveals excellent structure, balance and elegance. It is a gastronomic wine with great ageing potential.

Domingos Alves de Sousa brings his wines to life, following a family tradition started by his grandfather and which his children also join today. Vinifying exclusively the grapes from his Quintas, truly unique terroirs, the quality and uniqueness of his wines are widely recognised, with distinctions and references in the most respected national and international publications. Special mention should be made of the "Producer of the Year" award in 1999 and again in 2006 from the Revista de Vinhos magazine, making him the first to receive twice the most important distinction for a wine producer in Portugal.
