The Quinta das Maias is located at an altitude of about 600 metres at the foot of Serra da Estrela and has its vineyard in organic farming mode. The origin of its name derives from the yellow brooms that cover the slopes of the mountain and which are called Maias here because they bloom in May.
Given its location, the wines obtained are characterised by their freshness and mineral profile.
