Description

There is always a unique story hidden behind a wine. The history of the Vasques de Carvalho family has roots as strong as a vine and is intertwined with the history of the Douro.

It dates back to the mid-19th century and the family's wine company, which always transformed its production into fortified wine, selling part to export houses and aging another part, adding value to it.

In the middle of the 20th century, the family began trading fortified wine, acquiring grapes from third parties, which it vinified and then sold to the export trade.
