2020 Página Touriga Nacional red

This red wine is produced from the Touriga Nacional grape variety, from the 0.92 hectare vineyard of Óbidos denomination of origin, and in its production special emphasis is placed on environmental and health issues, and the grapes that originate it, come from vineyards certified by the Integrated Production standards, constituting a selected and concentrated blend. It has an intense ruby colour, brilliant aspect, and elegant and defined aromas of small berries, with balsamic vegetable notes, dark chocolate nuances and light toast from the ageing wood. In the mouth, balanced, with lively and present acidity, polished tannins are very harmonious and well-integrated. Elegant finish with intensity, freshness and good volume in the mouth.

The Quinta do Porto Nogueira was founded in 1738, in the first half of the 18th century, and was always owned by the same family until the second half of the 20th century. The current owners acquired it at the beginning of the 21st century. The estate's 20 hectares of vineyards are planted in clay soils, marked by the influence of the natural microclimate of the foothills of the Sierra de Todo-o-Mundo and by the proximity to the Atlantic Ocean, about 20 km away. A vineyard without irrigation gathers unique characteristics, and an unequalled freshness and is the bearer of a natural salinity. Thus, the wines are marked by their singularity.
