Description

The Quinta da Foz Reserva Vinhas Velhas red wine is produced from the Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, and Touriga Franca grape varieties sourced from the estate's old vines. With 18 months of aging in French oak barrels, it displays a stunning cherry red color and complex, intense aromas characterized by red fruits, black plum, and subtle floral notes. The hints of dark chocolate and spices from the French oak complement the wine's aromas.

On the palate, it reveals a full-bodied character with notes of fresh fruits and velvety tannins that are perfectly integrated, providing elegance and a pleasant, persistent finish.

Quinta da Foz is located in the heart of Douro Valley, in the sub-region of Cima Corgo, in the parish of Gouvães do Douro, Sabrosa, and shares on its banks the junction of the river Pinhão with the river Douro.

Currently, Quinta da Foz is dedicated to the production of table wines of excellence, having recovered in 2012 the production of Port wine. Its old vines, the quality of the grapes and the rigorous and professional work of its oenology team contribute to this.
