2020 Quinta do Couquinho Unius Reserva red
Free shipping to Description
Unius Reserva is a red wine from Quinta do Couquinho, made from the Tinto Cão and Touriga Nacional grape varieties and aged for 12 months in French oak barrels. Deep purple in colour, it has a floral aroma of violets, combined with red and black fruits and some notes of smoke, cocoa and nuts from the wood ageing. It's a wine of excellent structure, full and voluminous, with persistent but very well integrated tannins, which finishes elegant and long, revealing great ageing potential.
The Portuguese word "Couquinho" means "a place of difficult access" in Alto Douro dialect, and this is how the Melo Trigo family named the property that has been in their possession for over two centuries. Here they produce wines with serious character and which represent an origin that challenges man both in viticulture and oenology.
