2020 Rosa da Mata Conluio white
Description
Made from the Fernão Pires grape variety from the Beira Interior and Lisboa regions, this wine was produced in partnership with Hugo Mendes. It's not very aromatic, with hints of lees, reminiscent of baking, and very discreet citrus notes. The texture is creamy, but fine in volume, with a saline palate of great finesse and balance.
Rosa da Mata, from the Beira Interior region for its white wines and Dão for its reds, is a project by oenologist Patrícia Santos. It stands out for its audacity in launching its own challenging and original wines, in a moving tribute to her grandmother, Rosa de Jesus, affectionately known as Rosa da Mata.
Rosa da Mata's profile is distinctive for its duality between elegance and rusticity, a characteristic that Patrícia identifies even in terms of personality.
