Description

This late harvest wine, made from the Petit Manseng grape variety, was vinified and matured in French oak barrels, always with rigorous temperature control. It presents a golden yellow color, a fresh and delicate aroma with hints of honey, peach, white flowers, and candied fruit. In the mouth, it is complex and harmonious, with a prolonged and elegant finish.

Manuel de Sousa Lopes always had a special passion for agriculture and wines. He owned two estates in the Vila Nova de Famalicão municipality: Quinta do Cruzeiro, with 8 hectares of vineyards planted with the Loureiro, Arinto, Trajadura, and Chardonnay grape varieties, and Quinta da Senra, with 7 hectares of vineyards planted with the Loureiro, Arinto, Chardonnay, and Vinhão grape varieties. He managed to pass on this passion from generation to generation, despite his true profession having nothing to do with winemaking.

In 1977, his son continued his father's dream and expanded the family legacy by acquiring Casa da Torre. Today, it is Gonçalo Sousa Lopes, the grandson of Manuel Sousa Lopes and the son of Manuel Artur Sousa Lopes, who manages the family properties.
