Description

The Altano wines are produced by the Symington family, of Scottish, English, and Portuguese origin, and one of the leading Port producers in the Douro for five generations. Today the family is the largest owner of vineyards in the Douro valley, owning an exceptional group of 26 Quintas, spread across the Douro sub-regions of Cima Corgo and Douro Superior.

Altano wines are made from traditional Douro grape varieties. The red wines are made exclusively from grapes grown in Symington vineyards, whilst the white wines are made with the collaboration of selected winegrowers.
