Description

The Grafite red is an elegant interpretation of a classic Douro wine, combining expressive fruit with subtle notes from ageing in French oak. The name Grafite is a tribute to the artistic signature of its winemakers and their natural approach to winemaking. The bouquet reveals aromas of black plums, ripe cherries, wildflowers and spices. On the palate, it is smooth and velvety, with fine tannins, well-defined dark fruit and balanced acidity that extends through a harmonious and engaging finish.

In a sector occupied by players rooted for hundreds of years, Churchill's, with only 36 years of existence, has asserted itself and distinguished itself by producing exclusive premium category wines, with a very unique identity. It was this identity, an individual and unique style, that John Graham wanted to bring to the Port world when he founded the company in 1981. The purchase of Quinta da Gricha in 1999 propelled Churchill's into Douro wine production, making it a particular success case.
