Located in one of the most important sub-regions of the Demarcated Vinho Verde Region, the sub-region of Monção and Melgaço, the Dona Paterna winery is located at Quinta da Carvalheira, in the centre of the parish of Paderne, a region strongly characterized by the culture of the vine and with a vocation for the development of the Alvarinho grape variety.
The Dona Paterna wines were born from the passion of Carlos Alberto Codesso that in 1974, started the first plantations of the grape variety. Thus, with the years of experience and knowledge of the terroir, wines that represent different profiles of this prestigious grape variety, which always raises the quality of the wines it produces, are born.
