Lothian of Elgin Vineyard Selection Chardonnay is a wine of great elegance and precision, made from naturally fermented Chardonnay. It displays a pale yellow colour and a delicate yet complex aromatic profile combining lemon curd, tangerine, wet stone, toasted spices and orange peel.
On the palate, it reveals a creamy oatmeal-like texture balanced by crisp, fresh acidity. Flavours of orange and grapefruit segments, salted lemon and crushed almonds unfold across the palate, while the wine maintains impressive concentration without losing its elegant, linear shape.
The finish is long and persistent, with nuances of lemon zest, honeysuckle, pineapple and a delicate liqueur-like character. Eleven months of oak ageing followed by a year in bottle contributes further complexity and ageing potential.
